Our partner is the Hungarian subsidiary of an Irish biotech company that produces animal fodder, bio-gas and bio-fuel with a full commitment to zero waste production. They are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to boost their IT team at the Dunaföldvár site. You will work on infrastructure operations in a hibrid environment while participating in security projects (firewall configuration, e-mail security, network security, etc.)
Your new role
- IT network and infrastructure planning, coordination with participation in implementation, operation, troubleshooting
- Participation in IT development projects with professional advice and participation in implementation
- Development and implementation of IT security regulations, implementation of intrusion protection
- Responsible for operating and management of the central VMware and Windows server infrastructure, on-premise and cloud (Azure) parts, including the critical services (e-mail, SPAM filtering, file- and print, company intranet, meeting system) maintenance and keeping up to date
- Responsible for IT network management, including the management of the switches and firewalls
- Responsible for developing data backup and restore procedures, operating the backup system, including on-premise and cloud (Azure) parts
- Responsible for developing and operating OS and software installation automatization procedures
- Responsible for developing and maintenance of a central IT network monitoring system
- Maintenance and management of licenses and domains
- Contact and cooperation with external IT partners and suppliers, participation in IT related procurements
- Occasional user support (L1)
- Support IT Specialists in problem solving with high level support (L2)
- Primary deputy of IT Manager
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operating IT systems
- Strong knowledge of network security, virtualization, data backup systems, and architectures, as well as cloud-based technologies, affinity to IT security
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Experience in leading and managing IT projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Category B driver’s license and driving experience
