The role involves providing value to stakeholders through data science.
Fluency in English is required, and Dutch is a plus.
The candidate should enjoy collaborating with colleagues from various departments and be able to explain complex data science topics to a wide audience.
Team:
Part of the SkyAI team, one of the first data teams created within the organization.
The team includes Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and BI Developers working in a Scaled Agile environment.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Communicating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
Translating real-world problems into predictive or optimization models and evaluating model quality.
Analyzing business challenges and proposing solutions.
Building and deploying machine learning and/or optimization models.
Optimizing and monitoring existing models.
Performing ad hoc analysis on business issues.
Profile:
Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or similar fields.
Less than 3 years of experience in a Data Science role.
Proficient in Python (with Pandas and multiple machine learning packages).
Experience with Jira, GitHub, and an IDE (e.g., Vscode, PyCharm).
Knowledge of SQL, Docker, Google Cloud, or other cloud providers is a big plus.
Proactive and independent working style.
Data visualization skills are a plus.
Proven experience with the development and industrialization of applications is a big plus.
Nice to have: Knowledge of Operations Research and experience with solvers (e.g., Gurobi, Cplex, COIN-OR).
