Cost Estimation Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop cost estimates for new products
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to gather necessary information
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and reports
- Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the product development process
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain cost data and negotiate prices
- Support the financial planning and budgeting process
Requirements:
- Higher education in engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cost estimation or a similar role
- Proficient in English or German (German preferred)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Experience with cost estimation software and tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
