WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • manage procurement of products manufactured and supplied by

contract manufacturing organizations (CMO) to Bausch Health globally

  • be responsible for finished and semi-finished pharmaceutical products category, with strong focus on:
    • delivery of savings as per agreed targets 
    • product cost optimizations
    • supply continuity and risk mitigation
    • contract management
    • identify synergies and leverage the overall relationship with suppliers

 

Requirements to the candidates:

  • Manage assigned portfolio of external suppliers and product categories.
  • Identify and execute savings as per agreed annual plan.
  • Develop long term savings pipeline and sourcing strategies for assigned portfolio.
  • Implement and maintain robust and effective supplier relationships to drive commercial, quality and supply improvement to meet and exceed company requirements.
  • Negotiate, manage and monitor contracts with assigned suppliers to secure best possible conditions for Bausch Health.
  • Lead supplier relationship management initiative for selected suppliers
  • Ensure maximum data accuracy for reporting of spend, savings, cost increase & mitigations and contract tracker.
  • Provide procurement inputs to due diligence process for new R&D/BD deals with external manufacturers
  • Regularly benchmark industry best practices including market screening and benchmarking
  • Work in alliance with other teams to monitor market trends and to identify and utilize synergies within Global Procurement Organization
  • Closely cooperate with Supply and Quality teams to minimize negative impact of supply disruptions and serve as a point for escalation
  • Support internal teams managing technical transfers, insourcing, process improvements, new product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOP’s and Policies, incl procurement processes, procedures and best practice initiatives.
  • Work with selected suppliers on Environment, Social and Governance score cards and corrective actions to meet Bausch Health commitments towards sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within an international organization, ideally in pharmaceutical or chemical industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills and “do it” attitude
  • Be proactive, open to learn and adopt, work independently as well as a reliable team member
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • ERP / SAP Knowledge
  • Experience with ESG tools such as Ecovadis 
  • Negotiation skills, project management and data analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
