Responsibilities

As Assistant Group, Conference, and Events Sales Manager, you will support the Groups, Conference, and Events Sales Manager and the on-property Reservations Team in converting customer inquiries into confirmed sales. You will engage with clients and guests to understand their needs, build strong relationships, and drive repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise revenue opportunities across Group, Conference, and Events sales
  • Analyse business performance, identify gaps, and implement proactive strategies to meet targets
  • Contribute to the hotel’s overall sales strategy and ensure departmental alignment with business goals
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge
  • Foster a culture of excellence in customer service, relationship-building, and sales techniques within the team
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Group, Conference, and Events Sales Team, ensuring career growth and succession planning
  • Organise and oversee hotel promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and engagement

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within Reservations and/or Conference and Events Sales in the hotel or leisure industry
  • Strong analytical skills to assess key business indicators and market trends
  • Exceptional sales skills with the ability to coach and mentor a team in effective selling techniques
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities
  • Accountability, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure
